Michael Olise, MO 001: the rhythm of the work

Footballers usually arrive in brand films as hired faces: the boots, the drink, the watch. MO 001 turns that round. The credits open with “A film by Michael Olise”, the producer is Olise Internal — his own outfit — and the only brand in the film is him.

The idea fits in a minute. Training becomes the soundtrack: repetitions, sprints, lifts and impacts are recorded and cut into a score, so you hear the work before you have made sense of the images. Untold Studios in London handled production and VFX, and music house The Hogan shaped the sound. Persistence is the subject; rhythm is the form.

The timing does the rest. It went up on 19 August 2026, a few weeks after a World Cup that made Olise one of the most talked-about players of the summer — and he is a player known for very short interviews and few big endorsement deals. Instead of saying more, he says it in his own medium. The number is the brief: 001 promises a series, and MO 002 followed in October.
