A perfume film is usually a destination: the bottle, the gown, the kiss. Luca Guadagnino’s See You at 5 for CHANEL N°5 is about the drive. Margot Robbie takes to the roads of California for a rendez-vous at five o’clock with Jacob Elordi, and the two keep missing each other. Daft Punk’s “Veridis Quo” carries the whole thing along like a car radio nobody wants to switch off.

The question the film asks out loud — is the meeting the point, or is the journey? — is the brief in disguise. N°5 is the most famous perfume in the world; it doesn’t need to arrive anywhere. So Chanel spends two minutes on longing and anticipation, lets the number 5 do double duty as a time of day, and answers its own question with the campaign line: N°5 is the answer.

Watch it next to Chanel’s 2026 film Who will take it all?: same house, same Jacob Elordi, another chase — this time for Bleu de Chanel.
